As a text adventure, the game will succeed or fail on the strength of, well, it's text. And text here is just disconnected nonsense.I don't mean to say that it's merely 'silly'. I'm fine with silly. What I mean is that there seems to be a major disconnection between the various text boxes. An example (and this is word-for-word from a screenshot):[On your way you ran into a bulletin board. It had pictures with some numbers at the bottom on it. Apparently, those were bounties promised for capturing someone. In the center, you saw a rather detailed portrait with a message underneath, "This is Slug's order, do not loot. Take to the Big Boss's cave."Verdana archived that message.]So far, so reasonably ok. The sentence structure is awkward, and the grammar is a bit off. It's fine, none of that is a problem. We've run across a wanted poster that has a detailed picture of "someone" on it? How we pieced that together given that we've been on this planet all of 10 minutes is unclear, but whatever. Underneath, there are two choices of response (again, word for word):[Jeez, I've become a star! It's you who's going to get looted.]I'm sorry, what? It's a picture of me on the wanted poster? When did that happen? I thought that it was a picture of "someone" (ie NOT me)? Also, I've *literally* just crashlanded on this planet! Why is there a bounty on my head? Who saw me both up close and for long enough to create a detailed image of me? I've been moving forward pretty much non-stop since then, how did they get so far ahead of me, enough to set up this wanted poster?None of this makes any goddamn sense. And the game is *riddled* with this nonsense. The final straw was when after rescuing someone and teleporting away, we asked who they were and where we were now, and they responded with something like 'is this how people hook up these days?'..... What the f*ck?This game requires that I either ignore pretty much every second or third sentence, which (as a *text adventure*) makes the game a complete waste of time, or to spend way, way, *way* too much time trying to twist the sentences into some semblance of coherency.I'm pretty disappointed with this game, and regret all of the 20min I spent playing it. (the other 3 hours were from a Idle program getting the cards). It's honestly a great game. So many fun surprises, and a lot of replayability with 24 endings. A great choose your own adventure game that offers you lots of choices in the development of your character.. I got a game from PS+ called "Stories: The Path of Destinies". This game seems a lot like that but more polished and with more unique design put into it. I wholeheartedly recommend getting this if you're looking for replayability. I had a ton of fun with Stories, but this feels like a game I will enjoy a lot more because it's more well-designed. Don't get me wrong Stories was great, I'm glad to have played it, but I'm even happier I got this on Chrono and I'm glad I did. I greatly recommend it.. Extremely fun, exactly as promised. Not the most complex game, but great story telling and choices that really matter. Plus, fun art.. decent roguelike, choose your own adventure aesthetic.. Fun game. Hedgehog day in SF reality)).. I really liked this choose your own adventure game. Lots of different endings, and you can easily view which ones you have completed. The english definately could use some more work, but its a fun game if you can get beyond that. If you need some hints.. Don't forget to use your scrap pile, it acumulates very fast The game difficulty keeps getting tougher as you play, make sure to keep shields on before a fight. Memorize what the best options are for each encounter, they repeat often. End game gets tough. It's better to avoid fights and keep as many adventure consumables as possible. Okay, so you know how you end up with a few hundred games in your Steam library and you have no memory of aquiring those games? It's usually from Humble Bundles or Fanatical bundles, right? So for me, this game falls into that category. It was my day off work (yeah, that thing a lot of us do in 'real life') and I was browsing through my game library and just booted up this game on a whim. I had read no reviews and did not know anything about it.It's weird! But weird in a good way! It actually reminds me of the old Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone Fighting Fantasy books in a way, bizarre as that seems. You encounter multiple choice questions and your answer determines where you go next.It seems to be a fun, interesting game, suitable for short ten or twenty minute spells. I am not sure I would pay full price for it (and am pretty sure I didn't!) but if you spot it on sale or as part of a bundle, then I think you'll be happy with it.. Fun and short. Briliant but puzzling. so many choices and yet well inegrated to the story line. Work is in full swing!: Hi everyone!Four months have passed since we presented the Star Story: the Horizon Escape in early access. Having carefully considered all proposals and wishes of the gamers as well as professional comments of our colleagues, we continued further developing and finishing up the game, and hope to full release early next month. One of the major components of a good game is the storyline. To lift a veil a little, we can say that it has become much longer, comprising over 20 alternative finals. What concretely awaits the main character Van Klik at the end of his attempts to flee from the Planet Horizon depends exclusively on the individual choice of behavior in different situations offered by the game. Every next time you may play differently choosing new options to develop the plot. The artists of the Evil Corporation Games have considerably widened the spaces of the Horizon by creating new locations and filling the backgrounds of the initial version of the game with many new details. However, we would rather not to reveal our insights and groundworks all at once, but invite you to follow our news!Yours respectfully,EvilCoGames..
